Srushti Dehmukh started preparing for UPSC during the 3rd stage of her engineer bachelor's degree. She wondered if engineering was an appropriate career path for her. Later, she realized her passion was in civil service and started to focus on it. She was encouraged by her parents to consider a civil service career and to prepare for examinations. She focused her energy on becoming an IAS officer. In order for UPSC to be achieved, more hard work is needed. She was also preparing for UPSC tests while she was taking engineering classes. The time she allocated for examination preparation each day. She spent only one month studying for the exams and stayed off Facebook and other social media in her lives. She is convinced that focus is crucial to pass this government exam and become a civil servant. She worked hard to pass the exam on the first try. Every day, she read the newspapers to stay abreast on the current news. Rajya Sabha TV, online studies and resources proved to be a great help for her.
